ryde—me:

What if we fucked in the shower?

We would definitely have to buy this house if that happened.

We’re Having A Baby | Future | Skyder

ryde—me:

For a moment, Ryder didn’t know how to react. Between the doctor’s ‘you’re pregnant,’ and his wife’s muttering of ‘thank God,’ he didn’t know how to react. She had known? Skylar had known she was pregnant and let him freak out like this for hours? He really thought something terrible happened to her and he’d been going crazy since this morning. For a moment, he just felt annoyed, and then it just dawned on him.

His wife was having a baby, his baby, their baby, and now was not the time to feel annoyed. Ryder didn’t care that they hadn’t quite discussed when they wanted kids, but they did, so who really cared when it happened? Yes, he was enjoying being married to the love of his life, but a kid? With Skylar? That was what he wanted, since he was nineteen and fell in love with her. It was stupid to feel annoyed and even stupider to be upset about the small secret. Ryder understood— to an extent. He just didn’t understand why she would think he’d be upset about this and why she thought it wouldn’t want their child.

"Skylar, stop," he said as an instant of hurt flashed behind his eyes. Don’t be stupid, it’s Skylar. Of course she reacted this way. Ryder prided himself on understanding Skylar on a level that no one else really did, just as he knew she understood him the same way. He took in a deep breath and like that, his annoyance was gone. Sometimes Skylar was irrational and she definitely didn’t handle surprises all too well, so he understand why she had those thoughts. So it was fine. “How could I be mad? But don’t ever think that I would tell you that I didn’t want this baby, or any others we might have. Because you’re not crazy and that is a ridiculously crazy statement.” Ryder reached out and pulled his wife close to him, his hand went to cup her chin. Then he kissed her, gently, before picking her up by the waist and spinning her around, and then placed her on the counter.

A huge grin broke across his lips and he couldn’t help but laugh. “We’re having a baby, love. Stop looking so scared. God, I can’t believe this. You’re pregnant. Shit.” Ryder rubbed the back of his neck while the grin just got bigger. “Do you think him or her can hear me? Can I hear the baby? Can you feel it?” Ryder ducked his head so he could press his ear to Skylar’s still flat stomach. He wasn’t an idiot, but a part of him was hoping he’d be able to hear something. Then he placed his hand where his ear had been and kissed Skylar again. “A baby,” he whispered, still so amazed and shocked. “We’re having a baby, Skylar.”

Skylar felt so relieved to know that nothing was really seriously wrong with her and she pressed her hand to her stomach for a moment over joyed that finally she was carrying Ryder’s child. This was something that they both had wanted for the longest time. Honestly she thought it would happen after at least a year after they were married, not four months in. If there was one thing that Skylar was never good at surprises and this was a huge one that looking back on it for this very second wasn’t one that she should have done, but surprises did something to her brain and logic went out the window.

Looking at Ryder now she hoped he was as thrilled about this as she was because if he wasn’t she didn’t know how she would deal with that, but she had faith that he would. It didn’t take her long to see the small flash of hurt in his eyes and she regretted not telling him about the baby when she first thought she was pregnant. She held her breath for a moment as she listened to him tears of joy started to spill from her eyes when he told her she wasn’t crazy and kissed her lips. The red head let out a squeal when he picked her up and laughed a bit.

She ran her fingers through Ryder’s hair as he pressed his er to her stomach and couldn’t help, but laugh. “The only thing of the baby I can feel is the morning sickness, love. So please be gentle down there.” She laughed before kissing his lips. “I know I’m so happy, I’m sorry I didn’t tell you love, but I was freaking out, but God I’m so happy. Our baby is going to be so perfect.” She laughed and kissed Ryder once again.

We do have others to see, just keep that in mind. [steps into the master bedroom]
